I used to like gnome, but, now it became ugly ( at least for me). And the first thing I did after installing centos 7 was installing cinnamon. </p>

I like cinnamon,. Be it ubuntu, mint, or whatever linux distro, I like cinnamon.

Why? It's light, simple and offers a ton of customizations.

Today i will show you how to install cinnamon in your CentOS 7 system.

If you have EPEL ( https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL ) repository in your system, then things are really simple.

If you do not have the EPEL repo, Go HERE and add the repo. It is a really simple task. Just a few commands only.

Once you have your epel repo ready, you just issue the following command to install cinnamon.

#yum -enablerepo=epel -y install cinnamon*

Once the installation is finished, logout and select cinnamon at the login screen and login. Voila! You have cinnamon up and running.
