This blog

This site is generated using Jekyll, an amazing static site generator and is served through Nginx. I started writing on this blog a few years back, while studying Linux administration on my own, and it matured I learned more and more.

A Word about possibly broken blog posts: Before moving to Jekyll, I was using WordPress and when I migrated, I used a tool to convert blog posts into Jekyll posts (markdown) and many of my old posts are broken because the tool didn’t do the job properly. If you come across any broken posts, please send me an email and let me know about it. I’d really appreciate it

I don’t run any ads here

Because I hate them as much as you do. I believe that a person has his/her right to privacy and modern ads are intrusive and invades people’s privacy. I do not monetize this blog in any way, I pay for the domain and the server from my pocket.

If you found any of my post useful and if you are feeling generous, you can buy me a coffe :) Here is my Paypal address.

Or if you’d prefer Bitcoin, here is my address

User data collected

There are no third party scripts that collects your information. I have Disqus comments. If you click on the “Show Comments” button, Disqus will load and they might track you, which is not in my control.

I do not use Google Analytics

I have a self hosted analytics (Matomo) which I use to get an idea about how many people read my posts. It doesn’t collect any personally identifiable information.

Nginx server has an access log which records the page visits. I do not check the access log unless the blog is broken. The logs are purged periodically. No analysis is done the logs.
